The BBQ should be fully heated and the fuel kept red hot for at least 30 minutes
before placing food on the grill.

Do not fully fill the fire bowl with charcoal as it can cause it to become too hot for
successful cooking and may damage the BBQ. A maximum of about 3 pounds of
charcoal briquettes should be used.

Thoroughly defrost frozen meat and poultry in the refrigerator before cooking. Keep
raw meat and poultry away from cooked food.

Always wash your hands after handling raw meat or poultry.

Use separate utensils for handling raw meat or poultry and cooked food.

Do not light lighter fluid or gel if you have spilled fluid or gel on your clothes or
hands.

Small quantities of charcoal briquettes may be added prior to cooking to extend the
cooking time.

To help prevent food from sticking to the grill, apply a thin coating of cooking oil
prior to cooking.

Use a BBQ cover (not included) to protect the BBQ from the elements when it is
stored outside.
