Venting
Grease
(on so equipped)
The downdraft venting system (see
page 5) includes a metal filter that
collects grease. When the exhaust
fan is operated, air is drawn down
through the filter and is then
discharged through venting to
the outside.
The grease filter should be
cleaned at least once a month.
To remove the grease filter, first
remove the vent grill (see page 12).
Then grasp the tab on the filter and
lift it out.
To clean the grease filter, soak,
then agitate the filter in a hot
detergent solution. Light brushing
can help remove embedded dirt.
Rinse and shake to remove moisture
before replacing the filter.
