4.3 Placing the camera and the receiver
Practical experience has shown that an optimum re-
ception is achieved when placing the units at a mini-
mum height of 1.5 to 2 m above the ground. Prior to
final mounting, a trial run is recommended as the
transmission quality may substantially change when
displacing the units by a few centimetres only.
Mount the supplied camera bracket (2) at a suit-
able location and screw on the camera (see fig. 1).
After setting the camera into operation, precisely
adjust it to the area to be monitored. For this purpose,
release the locking screw (1) and retighten it after
adjusting.
4.4 Power supply
For power supply, a regulated power supply unit with
an output voltage of 12 V
and the following constant
output current is required:
AV-3031CCD: 300 mA
AV-3031COL: 400 mA
From the MONACOR range, the following units are
recommended:
PS-500ST for indoor use or
PS-12WP for outdoor use
1) In case of power supply units with variable output
voltage, set the voltage to 12 V.
2) Connect the power supply unit to the inline jack (4)
by means of a low-voltage plug 5.5/2.5 mm (out-
side/inside diameter). Always observe the correct
polarity: The positive pole must be at the inner
contact of the plug.
3) Connect the power supply unit to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz) and switch it on, if required. Thus,
the camera is switched on.
