User Maintenance

When the instrument activates

, the EM400 battery must be replaced or the EM500 battery must be recharged.

Energy readings are not accurate while the instrument displays

.

Replace the EM400's battery by pressing down on the battery compartment cover located on the back of the instrument.
Slide it outward, away from the center of the instrument.

The EM500 rechargable battery is not user-serviceable. Recharge it using the included AC Adapter.

There are no user-serviceable parts to an EM400 except the replaceable battery and there are no user-serviceable parts
of the EM500 at all.
