2.1. STAR Receiver Positioning
Figure 5 illustrates the STAR Receiver and the respective view angle. The following list indicates the key environmental
considerations for installing the unit.
a) Building
Height
b) Obstructions such as racking, shelves, walls, and staged product
c) AC power drops
d) Network

e) Targeted interrogation spaces

Orientation and pointing of the unit with respect to the interrogation spaces
The view angle of the STAR receive array is:
120 degrees (+/- 60 deg) in the X direction (horizontal)

90 degrees (+/- 45 deg) in the Y direction (vertical)

The read range — i.e. the furthest point that the interrogation space can from the reader is approximately 600 feet.
