6.10 Testing Installation
6.10.1 Test Drive
Disarm the system by inserting the blue plug into the Code Plug socket.
Wait for the audible signal.
Remove the plug.
Start the engine.
Carry out a test drive.
6.10.2 Extract and Transfer Data
After the test drive, turn off the ignition.
Wait for the system to arm, indicated by the LED on the code plug socket flashing.
Insert the green vehicle plug into the code plug socket. A beep indicates the start of data
transmission.
The LED on the code plug socket flickers during data transfer. A second beep indicates data
transmission is complete.
Remove the green vehicle plug.
Insert the vehicle plug into the download module.
Transfer the data to the PC using MiX Fleet Manager.

6.11 Voice / Hands-free connection
The FM Voice Kit is available as an optional accessory if voice communication is required. The FM Voice Kit
connects to the FM 3617i/FM 3717i/FM 3817i with the FM300 Voice Kit Harness, which is ordered separately.
6.12 GPS antenna connection
Mount the GPS antenna horizontally, as far away from any radio signal, where the least metal obstruction will
occur, for best results place the antenna on a metal surface.
Do not connect the F3 line to an external device, unless an OBC with no on-board GPS is used.
6.13 GSM Antenna connection
Do not mount the GSM antenna against a metal surface this effects GSM communication.
Some vehicle types require that the GSM antenna be mounted outside the vehicle cabin. Please confirm
whether this requirement is applicable before installing the GSM antenna.
