Useful advice for emergencies
3 Replacing engine preheating circuit
fuse
If the
indicator lamp does not light up in cold
weather, check whether glow relay fuse is blown
or not.
If the fuse is blown, first disconnect the negative
cable from the battery and then replace the fuse
with a genuine one (127 A).
CAUTION
Use only a genuine fuse of the specified amper-
age.
Whenever replacing a lamp, be sure to place the
starter switch in the “LOCK” position and all other
switches in the “OFF” position.
CAUTION
Do not clean front turn signal lamps, side turn
signal lamps and parking lamps with alcohol
and thinner, because they are made of plastic
lenses. When refilling clutch fluid, do not allow
it to adhere to them because it causes color
change and cracks. When the fluid adheres,
immediately wipe it off or wash it with water.
NOTE:
Inside lenses in lamps such as headlamps tempo-
rarily fog during driving in the rain or vehicle wash.
Just as in the case of window glass fogging in the
rain, fogging is formed by difference of the tempera-
ture between inside and outside of the lamp. No
functional problem develops and fogging will disap-
pear by itself.
WARNING
•
Electricity is always present at one end of
the glow relay. To be safe, always discon-
nect the negative cable from the battery
before replacing the fuse.
•
Use genuine fuses of the specified amper-
ages. A fire could result if a fuse of incor-
rect amperage is used.
When a lamp has burn out
WARNING
Use a lamp of the specified voltage and watt-
age shown in the following table. If a wrong
lamp is used, an excess of current flowing
through the wiring could blow a fuse or
cause the wiring to overheat and could pos-
sibly cause a fire.
