13. Remove the computer top and access covers.
14. To restore normal operation, place the jumper on pins
1-2 as shown below.

15. Replace the cover and turn on the computer.
16. Verify the processor speed during POST.
How to Clear the Passwords
This procedure assumes that the motherboard is installed in
the computer and the configuration jumper block is set to
normal mode.
1. Observe the precautions in ‘Before You Begin’
(Chapter 2).
2. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the
computer.
3. Turn off the computer and unplug the power cable.
4. Remove the computer top and access covers.
5. Find the configuration jumper block (see Figure 22).
6. Place the jumper on pins 2-3 as shown below.

6. Replace the cover, turn on the computer, and allow it
to boot.
7. The computer starts the Setup program. Setup displays
the Maintenance menu.
