box. Special reference is made to possible
dangers. Failure to observe these dangers
could result in injury or accident.

Use of the cargo box is prohibited in the
following cases:

If the cargo box is damaged.

For unauthorised conversions or
modifications.

For children or persons who are unable to
assess the risks involved in handling the
cargo box.
In the following cases, the manufacturer
assumes no liability or warranty for damage:

Failure to observe the operating instructions

In the event of improper use.

In the event of improper handling.
-
When using spare parts that have not been
authorised by the manufacturer.
-
In the event of unqualified repair of the cargo
box.
2.1
Proper use
The e.box cargo box is exclusively suitable for
mounting on the e.base accessory base and
may only be used as a cargo box in conjunction
with the accessories listed below (
à
paragraph
3.2).
The cargo box is suitable for use when driving
on tarmacked roads. Off-road use is not
permitted.
The cargo box may only be used if it is correctly
installed and in a technically perfect condition.
Under no circumstances may the cargo box be
used to transport people, animals, bulk
materials or explosive/sharp objects.
Proper use also includes observing the
information on the type plate and reading and
observing these operating instructions. Any
other use is considered contrary to the
intended purpose.
2.2
Safety instructions for use
In road traffic, the driver is responsible for the
safety of the vehicle and its load.
The country-specific laws on load securing take
precedence and must be observed at all times
(e.g. mandatory indication with a warning
sign).
The following values must be observed when
using the cargo box:

Maximum carrying capacity of the cargo box
of 72 kg.

Vehicle's permissible axle load.
-
Vehicle's permissible total weight.
