5.5 Capacitance Measurement
WARNING
To avoid possible damage to the meter or to the
equipment under test, disconnect the circuit power
and make sure all capacitors are discharged.
1. Set the rotary switch to capacitance position (
).
2. Connect the red test lead to the VA
Ω
HzCxTemp
input terminal and the black test lead to the COM
input terminal.
3. Verify the polarity when necessary and connect the
test leads to the capacitor terminals.
4. Read the capacitance measurement in the display.
NOTE: Before connect the capacitor, the display may
show some reading different from zero, however, this
reading must be discarded, because the correct read-
ing will superpose the wrong reading when the capacitor
is connected.
5.6 Temperature Measurement
1. Set the rotary switch to °C or °F position.
2. Insert the red test lead of K type thermocouple in
VAHz
Ω
CxTemp input terminal and the black test
lead in COM terminal.
3. Touch the end of temperature sensor to the area or
surface of the object to be measured.
4. Make the display reading.
NOTE: The meter must be keep away from source of
very high temperature.
