process. When the batteries are fully charged, this LED (9) will come on continuously and the
indicator (A) will show a totally charged battery.
The approximate charging time of the batteries is the parents’ unit is around 3-7 hours, depending
on the initial charging status of the batteries at the time when the process starts.
When the batteries are totally charged, the mean autonomy of the parents’ unit will be 5-6 hours
and will depend on the duration of the listening/idle cycles. The maximum autonomy will be up
to 9-11 hours in the event that the baby unit is in a silent environment for the majority of the time.
The charging status is shown on the screen,
= completely charged
= around three quarters charged
= around half-charged
= batteries almost run out
and flashing = the batteries need to be recharged
When the battery level at the parents’ unit is low, the latter will emit a warning beep every 30
seconds, the charging and on LED indicator (9) will flash red and the battery level indicator (A)
will flash empty. When this occurs, place the parents’ unit on its charging base (14) to recharge
the batteries. You can keep using the baby monitor whilst the parents’ unit is on the charging
base.
5.2.5. Paging (parents’ unit search)
This option is used to locate the parents’ unit when it is not possible to locate it. It is also very
useful when one of the parents is in the baby’s room and needs to contact the other.
At the baby unit, keep pressed in for 3 seconds the nightlight/baby unit search button
(16). The parents’ unit will then emit a beep which may be disabled by pressing any parents’ unit
button.
5.2.6. Nightlight
The baby unit has a nightlight (16) which emits a soft light, providing your baby with comfort and
allowing it to see in a dark room.
To turn the nightlight on or off, press the nightlight/baby unit search button (16). The nightlight
can also be controlled by pressing the button (3) at the parents’ unit. The nightlight indicator icon
(B) will be shown on the display when the nightlight is on.
5.2.7. Talking to your baby
You can talk to your baby from the parents’ unit (perhaps to calm it down whilst on your way) or
to your partner (if he/she is in the baby’s room).
Press and keep pressed in the two-way button (6) and talk into the front of the parents’ unit. The
two-way mode indicator (F) will appear on the screen. Let the button out to listen to the baby
again.
Bear in mind that you can’t listen to your baby whilst you are talking to him/her until you release
the two-way button (6).
5.2.8. Lullabies
You can calm the baby down so it can sleep more easily by means of a soothing lullaby which
will play on the baby’s unit. To enable this function, keep the button (8) pressed in for 3 seconds.
The lullabies’ indicator icon (C) will appear on the display and the first lullaby will start to play in
the baby unit. The 5 lullabies available will be played cyclically for 15 minutes. You can choose
the first of the lullabies by playing it or changing the song being played by pressing the button (8).
