ASS AND TREBLE CONTROLS
The bass and treble controls provide a quick way to boost the high or low
range of the frequency spectrum. Adjust the level of boost or cut by
moving the slider. Alternatively, enter the amount of boost or cut in the
entry box underneath the slider.
The frequency around which the controls take effect can be set in the
lower box:
•
Bass turnover frequency can be adjusted from 200 to 750 Hz. The
default is 400 Hz.
•
Treble turnover frequency can be adjusted from 750 to 3000 Hz. The
default is 1500 Hz.
The effect of the bass and treble controls is included in the response graph on the PEQ screen if the
“Overall
Response” checkbox
is on. If no other filters are active (i.e. all are 0 dB gain or bypassed), this graph is the
response of the bass and treble controls. For example, here is the response with bass control at maximum
(orange) and minimum (grey), with turnover frequency of 200 Hz:
