INSTRUCTIONS ON FITTING, USING AND
MAINTAINING THE ACTUATOR
Micro One
Checks
Before installing, check that:
•
The actuator performance is sufficient to open
and close the window (ensure that the limits
indicated on the actuator ratings plate are not
exceeded). Remember that the window may
have to not only stand up its own weight but also
bear the weight produced by wind, snow and
perhaps of ice.
•
If the required stroke is greater than the height
of the window, contact the Mingardi S.r.l.
commercial technical service.
•
The frame components and hinges are of an
adequate size to stand up to the operating
stress.
•
The hinges and fixtures enable the actuator to
complete its opening stroke in order to prevent
damages to structures due to the thrust and
tensile stress exerted by the actuator.
•
The electrical control systems comply with the
regulations in force in the country of use.
•
The actuator’s power cables are sufficiently wide
in diameter.
•
The mains power supply and main switch are
near the window.
•
There is a junction box to house the power cable
conductors.
•
The packing contains all the component parts
and accessories required to install the actuator
(Fig. A00 - Fig. B00).
•
The actuator operates smoothly and correctly
when it is powered up and the two limit switches
are triggered in order to limit the maximum and
minimum stroke of the chain.
•
That during assembly and disassembly of the
actuator from the window, as it is not fixed in the
open or closed position, appropriate measures
are taken to avoid any accidental banging with
hits, breakages of the window and injury to the
operator.
•
A platform or scaffolding is provided if the
actuators are to be installed at a height of more
than 2.5 metres.
Operations to be carried out before installing
the actuator
•
Power up the actuator and have it perform one
stroke to be sure that it was not damaged during
transit.
Warning!
If safety components prevent the window
from being fully opened or if the window
is opened less than the actuator’s
stroke, the actuator or window may be damaged.
Danger!
Danger of hands being crushed. When
the window is moving, do not put your
hands between the fixed and moving
parts.
A
FITTING ON TOP-HUNG WINDOWS
Installation for coplanar windows or windows
with an overlapped part that in any case does
not exceed 5 mm:
A01
Find and mark the centre line of the window and
movable wing.
A02
Fit the top clamps code CD20302800 and bottom
clamps code CD20302900 on the template for
top-hung windows code CD20302500 and lock
them onto the template by screwing on the two
screws code A020300400-1 (M5x25 DIN 7984)
without tightening them with force.
A03
Put the spacers for top-hung windows code
CD20302600 on the back of the bottom clamps.
A04c
Position this assembly while making sure that the
spacers are all the way up against the frame and
that they follow the profile; for horizontal
positioning, make the centre line coincide with the
indicator on the template (also refer to fig. A06).
Proceed with drilling by using the holes on the
bottom clamps as references; use those marked
by the symbol “*” on the figure. For aluminium
frame applications, drill with a 3.8-mm drill bit. The
fastening screws supplied are only for aluminium
frames. Contact the Mingardi S.r.l. technical
service for wooden, PVC or iron frames.
