4.6.4 Managing Simple Network Management Protocol
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is used by the ICA to remotely monitor client devices
on the network. The
SNMP
page has a
Trap Destination
field which define the IP address(es) of the
host for sending trap information.
SNMP Trap enables client devices to sent messages to the host when there are significant events. Currently
link up / down messaging is supported.
Note:
The ICA is not affected by the settings on this page. Configuring 3rd party SNMP solutions
is outside the scope of this manual.
To enter SNMP Trap destination(s):
1.
Enter the
Location
of the device.
2.
Enter the
Contact
details of the person to be notified of any alarms.
3.
Enter the IP address(es) of the SNMP host(s) in the
Trap Destination
field(s).
To add a IP address field, click
