Usage Notice
Follow all warnings, precautions, and maintenance as recommended in this user guide.
Warnings
n
Do not look into the projector lens when the lamp is on. The bright light may hurt and
damage your eyes.
n
To avoid the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the projector to rain or
moisture.
n
Do not open or disassemble the projector as this may cause electric shock.
n
When replacing the lamp, allow the unit to cool down first. Follow the instructions as
described under
Replacing the Lamp
on page 67.
n
The projector has a timer to track the life of the lamp. Be sure to replace the lamp when
the projector displays the lamp warning message.
n
After replacing the projector lamp, reset the lamp hours setting. See
Clear Lamp Hours
on page 51 for information about resetting the lamp hours.
n
When turning the projector power off, ensure that the cooling cycle completes before
disconnecting the power. Allow 10 seconds for the projector to cool down.
n
Do not block the light path between the light source and the lens with any object.
Doing so could cause the object to catch on fire.
n
Do not look into or point the laser pointer from the laser curtain module into any
person's eyes. Laser pointers can cause permanent damage to eyesight.
Precautions
n
Turn off and unplug the power plug from the AC outlet before cleaning the product.
n
Use a soft damp cloth with mild detergent to clean the display housing.
n
Disconnect the power plug from the AC outlet if the product is not being used for a
long period of time.
n
Use a soft dry cloth to clean the lens if needed. Be sure the projector has been turned
off and allowed to cool.
