Using the take-up unit

•

Set the media first.

When in use of the take-up unit, the media in-between the take-up unit and

the carriage cannot be plotted. Additionally, do not continue plotting in case

the roll rack side of media is off the paper tube for the tension will be altered,

and affects the image quality.

The take-up unit has switches for determining the medium take-up directions and take-up ON/OFF
switches.

Take-up ON/OFF switch

: Starts a take-up operation immediately.

OFF

: Activates a take-up operation during a plotting

operation.

Take-up FORWARD/REVERSE switch

REVERSE

: Takes up the media with the plotted side

facing inside.

OFF

: Deactivates the take-up unit.

FORWARD : Takes up the media with the plotted side

facing outside.

•

When the Take-up switch is set to ON and the Take-up FORWARD/RE-

VERSE switch is set to OFF, the take-up unit is not operate in local mode.

•

When the Take-up switch is set to OFF and the Take-up FORWARD/RE-

VERSE switch is set to OFF, the take-up unit does not operate during plot-

ting.

Place the tension bar on the tension rack at the

top.
