SECTION 1.  INTRODUCTION

We strongly advise you to read these installation instructions, before first switching on your air unit. The
damage that could be caused by setting the machine up or installing it incorrectly would not be covered
by our guarantee.

In order to simplify any future requests for spare parts or further information about your air unit, we advise you to copy
onto this page the specifications written on the plates fixed to the air unit and the air treatment unit, as soon as you
receive your machine.

1.1. General

points

The HOSPITAIR PACK S produces a medical air quality to feed one oxygen generator.
One HOSPITAIR PACK S unit is required for each oxygen generator.

SECTION 2.  CHOICE OF ROOM

The unit must be located in a clean, non-humid, non-saline, dustless and ventilated local whose the temperature should
be b5C and +40C.
Forced ventilation controlled by a thermostat must be installed to ensure adequate room ventilation.
The following formula can be used to size the fan:

The following formula can be used to size the fan:

Q = P x 1000 x 3600  = 2880 x   N

T x 1250

Q = Ventilation volume (m³/h)

P = Compressor energy consumption (kW)

T = Temperature difference between the local and outdoor

1250 = Volumetric heat capacity Cp (J.m³.K

-1

Exemple: Compressor power 16.5 kW

T eligible = 10°C

                Q = 2880 x 16.5 = 4752 m³/h
                                    10
The air inlet area must be dimensioned such that the flow rate does not exceed 3 m/s
Extreme tolerance of 5 m/s

                S =          Q       =       4752     = 0.44 m

Vair x 3600    3 x 3600

For information purposes, the table below gives the amounts of heat that must be extracted, according to the installed
capacity in kW.
