The vacuum pump is out of order.
•
Place the collecting tank under the drain fitting.
•
Carefully unscrew the screw of the drain connection.
•
Allow the operating liquid to flow out.
•
Clean the screw and pump threads of the drain connection.
•
Surround the screw with PTFE tape.
•
Screw in the drain connection and tighten to the torque specified in the following table.
The vacuum pump is ready for filling with operating fluid.

The operating fluid is drained.
✓
The drain fitting / connection is open.
•
Perform descaling.
•
Fill the descaling agent through the drain connection of the vacuum pump.
•
Close the drain connection.
•
Allow the descaling agent to take effect according to the manufacturer's instructions.
•
Rinse the descaling agent with cold water.
•
Neutralize if necessary.
•
Fill the vacuum pump with neutralizing agent through the drain connection.
•
Close the drain connection.
•
Allow the neutralizing agent to take effect according to the manufacturer's instructions.
•
Rinse the neutralizing agent with cold water.
•
Rinse the vacuum pump with cold water until no residues remain.
Disinfect
Aggressive cleaning and rinsing agents.
Pump/pump unit damage.

Consumable

Cleaning agent compatible with the material, the conveyed product and the operating fluid.
•
If necessary, disinfectant compatible with the material, the conveyed product and the operating fluid.

The operating fluid is drained.

The drain fitting / connection is open.
•
Perform washing.
•
Rinse the vacuum pump with hot cleaning agent (max. 100°C and 3 bar).
•
Allow the vacuum pump to cool down to room temperature.
•
Rinse the cleaning agent with cold water.
•
Disinfect the vacuum pump if necessary.
•
Rinse the vacuum pump with neutralizing agent via the drain connection.
•
Rinse the disinfectant with cold water.
