Operating Instructions

The operating instructions are described in three steps. Please 
read and understand these instructions before using this 
equipment. Do not omit any steps.

The Skyline 90 Fluid Head can be mounted on a MITCHELL 
BASE only. 

1  Fluid Head Set-up (Mitchell Base)

1.1  Ensure the Tripod, Jib, Pedestal etc. is level before   

 

 

placing head on Mitchell Base.

1.2   Place Fluid Head on a Mitchell Base, ensure that the 

keyway insert on head has engaged in the keyway slot on 
Mitcheel Base. 

1.3  Tighten the Mitchell Castle Nut to Mitchell Centre Screw.

1.4  Add the Pan Handles to serrated boss, position to your  
 

desired angle and length.

1.5  Set the initial control settings as follows – see Figure 1 & 2:

 

  Select Counterbalance to position 100% (top setting).

 

  Select Pan & Tilt drag to position 0.

 

   Engage the Tilt Safety Lock.
