Torch
Torch Operation:

Amperage Adjustment Wheel
Use wheel to adjust amperage from
ten amps to maximum value set on
the machine’s Material Thickness/
Amperage Control.

On/Off Switch
Switch has three features that con-
trol the machine in different ways:
Trigger hold
−
Push and release
On/Off switch to start welding. Af-
ter switch is released, the Amper-
age Adjustment wheel can be ad-
justed to ramp amperage to de-
sired value for the material being
welded. To end weld sequence,
push and release switch.
Tacking/Fitting Feature

Press
and hold On/Off switch for more
than one second to start weld out-
put. Release switch to end weld
output. This feature is useful for
tacking and fitting, or in other situ-
ations when weld output is need-
ed for short periods of time.
Crater-Out Feature
−
Press and
hold On/Off switch at end of weld
sequence to ramp weld amper-
age down until arc is extin-
guished. Use this feature at the
end of the weld sequence to help
fill the crater that can form in the
weld puddle.

Optional Foot Control
This is a dedicated foot control
which can be purchased as an ac-
cessory.
When the optional foot control is
plugged into the Remote Recep-
tacle (see Section 4-2), the fingertip
control on the torch is disabled.
