General Operation: 

 
1. POWER ON/OFF 
Press this button to turn the unit on. Press and hold to turn the unit off. 
 
2. MUTE BUTTON 
Press this button to mute the volume in any mode. Press it again to cancel mute. While in 
the muted state, the words “MUTE ON” will display. 
 
3 & 4.TUNE, TRACK UP / DOWN BUTTONS 
Media mode: 
Press the >>| button briefly to play next track. Press the |<< button briefly to play the 
previous track. Press and hold the >>| or |<< button to fast-forward / fast-reverse the 
current track. 
 
5.USB PORT /  SD SLOT 
Provided is a USB port to accommodate most simple MP3 players including flash drives. 
Also provided is a SD slot. Both are capable of playing WMA and MP3 formatted music. 
 
Caution: Do not force USB devices or SD cards. If resistance is encountered, flip the USB 
device/connector/SD card over and try again. Note, not all USB devices will fit into this slot. 
Maximum USB device dimensions are 13/16’ wide X 1/2’ tall or 20mm wide X 13mm tall. 
 
6. AUX INPUT 
A front auxiliary input jack is provided to accommodate other listening devices through the 
earphone jack should your favorite device not have USB capabilities or not be USB 
compatible with the MR50. 
 
7. TRACK+10 
In USB or SD mode, use this button to advance 10 tracks at a time. 
 
8. TRACK-10 
In USB or SD mode, use this button to go back 10 tracks at a time. 
 
9.RANDOM BUTTON 
In USB/SD mode, press the RDM button to hear all tracks played in random order. Press 
the button again to cancel random mode. 
 
10.REPEAT BUTTON 

1.) REPEAT ONE: In USB or SD mode, press the RPT button to play the current 
track repeatedly. “REPEAT ONE” will display briefly upon entering this mode. 
 
2.) REPEAT ABM: Press the RPT button again to repeat all tracks from the current 
album. “REPEAT ABM” will display briefly upon entering this mode. 
 
3.) To cancel repeat mode, press the RPT button again until “REPEAT OFF” 
displays. 

 
11.INTRO  BUTTON 
In USB/SD mode, press the INT button to sample the first 10 seconds of each track. Press 
the button again for normal play. 
 
12.PAUSE BUTTON 
In USB/SD mode, press the >II button to pause play. Press again to resume play.
