Profile processing
3.3 Profile processing
All camera settings are loaded or stored in data blocks, so called
profiles (see also "Camera settings and profiles" on page 4-20).
The cameras
MC3010-3011 offer 17 profiles: 8 factory profiles, 8
user profiles and one power up profile.
If the camera is powered-up, the power-up profile which is perma
-
nently stored in the non-volatile memory of the camera, will be loaded
into the volatile camera profile.
Any change of a specific register via the serial interface is immedi
-
ately processed and written into the camera profile. Its content will
be lost as soon as power is switched off.
If you want to keep your changes, you have to write them into one of
the profiles of the non-volatile memory. In order to handle profiles the
specific write and load commands for each profile have to be used..
The figure above shows the profile types and the commands to be
used to either write or load them.
3.3.1 Write user or power-up profile
The actual profile can be written into one of the eight user profiles or
into the power-up profile.
