Remedy
The machine
shakes during the
spin cycle.
The transport base lever
has not been moved over
to the left.
Push it over to the left.
The laundry is not
spun satisfactorily.
The spin speed selected
was too low.
Select a higher spin speed
for the next wash programme.
The pump makes
strange noises.
This is not a fault! These noises occur at the end of a
pump sequence as a normal part of the operation.
Large amount of
detergent residues
remain in the
detergent dispenser
drawer.
The water pressure is too
low.
–
Clean the filter in the water
inlet.
–
Press the
Water plus
button.
Powder detergent used in
conjunction with water
softeners tends to
become sticky.
In future add washing powder
into the dispenser drawer
first, and then add the water
softener.
Fabric conditioner
is not completely
dispensed or too
much water remains
in the
compartment.
The siphon tube is not
correctly positioned, or is
clogged up.
Clean the siphon, (see
"Cleaning and care" -
"Cleaning the detergent
dispenser drawer").
A stale smell is in
the drum and on
laundry.
Low temperature
washing.
Before washing the next load
run a
Cottons 95°C
programme with powder
detergent but without a load.
(See also "Extra cleaning" in
Cleaning and Care).
When laundry is dry
it feels hard to the
touch.
Too vigorous wash action. Programme in gentle action
and more water.
Not enough detergent
used.
Increase detergent dose to
prevent limescale build up in
laundry.
No fabric conditioner
used.
Use fabric conditioner in last
rinse.
