The DA3460, DA3480 and DA3490
Built-In Ventilation Hoods all include
brackets to affix the hood body to
the rear wall of the enclosing
cabinet. (Fig. 1) These brackets are
necessary to ensure the long-term
rigidity and stability of the installed
appliance. In many cases, we have
found that the rear walls of some
cabinets are not structurally reliable.
This may be due to the materials
used, or the thickness of the rear
wall.
In this case, to guarantee a solid
connection, these brackets must be
attached to a structurally sound
surface (such as the wall behind the
cabinet) to maintain the hood's level
attitude (Fig 2). Depending on the
cabinet and wall construction,
alternative hardware may be
required. Please use hardware
which is designed to be used for
your specific installation application.
Failure to do so may cause the hood
to lean forward and cause
permanent damage to the sliding
shelf. This damage is not covered
by the warranty!
^
Connect the space bar from the rear
with 4 plastic rivets at the hood rear
side.
5. Install the front panel
if necessary
The installation kit DML 400 is
necessary. It can be obtained as an
optional accessory from Miele. The
installation kit has an installation manual
supplied.
