Cleaning the milk valve
When preparing milk, if hot milk is
dispensed instead of milk froth, or the
milk spits or sputters when dispensed,
the milk valve may be blocked. First
check the following:
– Is the milk in the milk flask cold
(< 10 °C)?
– Have the central spout and the milk
flask lid been cleaned carefully?
– Is the central spout correctly fitted?
– Is the milk pipework firmly connected
to the dispensing unit?
If you are still not satisfied with milk
preparation, follow the steps described
below to clean the milk valve.
Clean the milk valve cover
by hand
only.
Open the appliance door.
Remove the bean container on the
left and the maintenance container.
Remove the stainless steel cover
from the central spout.
Remove the milk valve cover: on the
top right there is a pin which enables
you to swing open the cover.
