 PSC-700

Connecting To A Battery

Use the following steps when connecting the Power Charge to a battery in a 

vehicle:
1.  Identify the polarity of the battery terminals. Negative is marked NEG, N, or 

– . Positive is marked POS, P, or + .

2.  With the Power Charge unplugged, connect the positive clamp (red) to the 

positive battery terminal.

3.  Connect the negative clamp (black) to the vehicle chassis. Do not connect to 

carburetor, fuel line or body sheet metal.

4.  Plug the power cord into a grounded 120 Vac outlet. (For the maximum cur-

rent draw and required input voltages, see the Specifications table).

Disconnecting From A Battery

1.  Unplug the Power Charge from the 120 Vac outlet.
2.  Disconnect the positive (red) clamp from the positive battery terminal. 
3.  Disconnect the negative clamp (black) from the vehicle chassis.
