7 Programming frequencies and
CTCSS/DCS codes
7. Programming modes
You can redefine radio frequencies (choosing them among the eight
PMR446 frequencies mentioned in par.5.5.a) factory set for each one
of the 16 channels and allocate to each one a CTCSS tone or DCS
code. For further details on the PMR446 frequencies and CTCSS/
DCS consult par. 5.7 and the tables in chapter 11.
To enter programming mode do the following:
1) Turn off the transceiver.
2) Keep the
PTT
and
SCAN/MON
buttons pressed and turn the
device back on. All symbols on the display light up for about one
second and a beep sound of confirmation is heard.
3) When the display comes back to its normal status, release the
buttons. The display will show the
icon to signal that you
are in programming mode.
To exit programming mode (and stores the new settings) press the
PTT
button or turn the device off and then turn it back on.
WARNING!
It is advisable to leave the first eight channels
unchanged so as to keep maximum compatibility with devices of
other manufactures which are normally set in the same way.
