The MODE button
With this button you switch the different modes of the interface.
1)
USB Mode
In this mode, which does not need to be switched, the Midiface 4x4 Thru / Merge runs driverless on any computer.
The respective operating system installs 4 input and 4 MIDI output drivers when connected, which can be managed
with a sequencer DAW software accordingly as inputs and outputs for MIDI devices.
In this mode, only the USB Power LED lights up before use.
2)
THRU Mode 1
After pressing the "Model SW" button, the Midiface 4x4 Thru / Merge switches to the first MIDI THRU mode.
The lower 4 LEDs light up green. The inputs 1-4 are directly routed to the corresponding outputs. 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3
to 3, 4 to 4.
3)
THRU Mode 2
After another push on the "Model SW" button the Midiface 4x4 Thru / Merge switches to the second MIDI
THRU mode. The first lower LED lights up green, as well as the upper 4 LEDs flash briefly. Input number 1 is
here routed to all 4 MIDI outputs, the outputs 1-4 get the signal from the first MIDI IN port. IN 1 to OUT
1,2,3,4.
