.3 Installation Space and Appearance

.3.1 Installation Space Requirements for Outdoor Units
Enough space must be left around units and between units to ensure sufficient fresh air for air-side heat
exchangers in units. In addition, the places around units must be kept clean without blocks. Otherwise,
units maintenance could be inconvenient.
In areas where snows might fall in the winter, the following instructions should also be followed during unit
installation:
(1)
Do not install units under an eave of a house.
(2) Raise the foundation according to the possible snow height. (The foundation must be at least 1 m
higher than the maximum snow height.)
(3) Do not install the unit at a place that might be piled with snow.
