Chapter 2: Front Panel
The front panel comprises various sections, as follows:
Control panel
The control panel is used for setting up the DL471 DSP unit via four menus in
programming mode, and comprises an LCD screen and four buttons.
The LCD screen has 32 characters (2 x 16), and is used with the adjacent programming
buttons to program the DL471 DSP (see “Menu navigation” on page 9). It also shows
the default display during normal operation and indicates problems with
communications (see “Error messages” on page 18).
Each programming button illuminates with a blue backlight when pressed. During
normal operation, all four buttons flash when they are not receiving data from the
control centre’s master controller and remain illuminated when good control data is
being received.
