SERVICE BRAKE
The motor works electrically as a dri-
ving brake and decelerates the
wheelchair softly and jerk-free to a
standstill.
PARKING BRAKE
The parking brakes only work when
the selection lever is in the drive mode
position. They disengage automatical-
ly when the wheelchair starts off. They
are disengaged manually by moving
the selection lever to the push mode
position. Also view chapter <
Drive-/
push mode
>.
!
Attention:
Before maintenance work as well
as reconfigurations, adjustments to
the wheelchair, switch the brake
release lever to the
drive position
and switch off the operating mo-
dule.
– Accident risk resulting from inadver-
tent movement of the wheelchair!
Braking the wheelchair
!
Attention:
For this reason, ensure that you
brake the wheelchair in good time
when you encounter other people
or obstacles.
For allotted braking slowly guide the
joystick back to the home position
(zero-setting).
The wheelchair stops when you let go
of the joystick.
Braking distance
Depending on the nature of the dri-
ving surface and speed, the shortest
braking distance is approx. 1 m for 6
km/h.
