4. Use and Scope of Quantometers
The Quantometer MQM is designed for none fiscal or in-plant metering of natural gas and
approved according the European guidelines of 97/23/EG. The MQM Quantometer is suitable
to be installed in hazardous area of Category 2 (Zone 1) II 2 G c IIC T4 X.
The MQM Quantometer is suitable for the following gases:
•
Natural gas, town gas, propane, butane, ethylene, air, nitrogen, noble gases
•
Further gases on request.
The MQM Quantometer cannot be used for: Oxygen, Acetylene and other aggressive gases
as well as for explosive gases and gas mixtures. The meter should not be used in applications
with the presence of strong pulsations. These conditions will result in an increased error and
may significantly decrease the meter’s lifetime.
