Spark Plug
This Dirt Bike comes equipped with an
spark plug.
To inspect the spark plug
1. Remove plug cap (1)
2. Clean around spark plug base so dirt
does not enter the engine when plug is
removed.
3. Remove the spark plug (2) from the
engine with the spark plug tool provided.
5. Use a thickness feeler to inspect the
spark plug gap (3). The spark plug gap
should be 0.6 - 0.7mm (0.024 - 0.028 in.)

4. Inspect the spark plugs center and side
electrodes. The spark plug will generally
fit into one of four categories.
• Normal and clean spark plug will be
brown and clean around the
electrodes and will display no wear.
• A bright white electrode means the
unit is running lean. The dirt bike
should be taken to a service center
for repair
• A carbon fouled plug will have the
electrodes completely covered in a
dull black. Clean or replace plug.
• An oil fouled spark plug will be wet
with oil. This happens when oil seeps
by the piston ring. Clean or replace
plug. If the spark plug is continually
fouling in this manner, take unit to a
service center for repair.
