Troubleshooting Common Problems
Symptom:
Manifold Controller displays “
FF
”
when turned on.
Probable Cause:
No communication between Manifold and Controller. Ensure cable is properly
connected.
Symptom:
Unable to achieve 1.0 cfm sample flow at the particle counter with rear panel
flow adjustment valve.
Probable Cause:
Reversed “Sample” and “Return Air” tubing connections at the manifold.
Refer to figure 3 for proper connections.
Symptom:
Particle Counter will zero count alone, but manifold system will not.
Possible cause:
Internal coupling shoe worn. Refer to Coupling Shoe Inspection procedure
below.
