Chapter 3: BIOS Setup Utility

IDE DMA transfer access

This item allows you to enable the transfer access of the IDE DMA then
burst onto the PCI bus and nonburstable transactions do not.

Serial-ATA Controller

This item allows you to enable or disable the onboard SATA controller.

IDE Prefetch Mode

The onboard IDE drive interface supports IDE prefetching, for faster drive
access. If you install a primary and secondary add-in IDE interface, set this
field to Disabled if the interface does not support prefetching.

IDE HDD Block Mode

Block mode is also called block transfer, multiple commands, or multiple
sector read/write.  If your IDE hard drive supports block mode, select En-
abled for automatic detection of the optimal number of block read/write per
sector the drive can support.
