Front passenger airbag dis-

* The front passenger airbag has been disabled even though an adult or a person of adult build is on the front
passenger seat. If additional forces are applied to the seat, the weight the system detects may be too low.

WARNING ‑ Risk of injury or even fatal injury when the front passenger airbag is disabled
If the front passenger airbag is disabled, It will not be deployed in the event of an accident and cannot perform
its intended protective function.
A person in the front passenger seat could then, for example, come into contact with the vehicle interior, espe‐
cially if the person is sitting too close to the dashboard.

Be aware of the status of the front passenger airbag both before and during the journey.
#
Stop the vehicle immediately in accordance with the traffic conditions.
#
Make sure that no objects are trapped under the front passenger seat.
#
Check the status of the automatic front passenger airbag actuation (
/
page 53).
#
If necessary, consult a qualified specialist workshop immediately.

* The front passenger airbag will be enabled while the vehicle is in motion in the following situations:

even when a child, a small adult or an object weighing less than the system weight threshold is located on the
front passenger seat
R
even when the front passenger seat is not occupied
The system may detect objects or forces that are adding to the weight applied to the seat.
