Use the E-SELECT selector lever to change the
transmission position. The current transmission
position is displayed in the instrument display.

Depress the brake pedal and push the E-
SELECT selector lever upwards past the rst
point of resistance.

Depress the brake pedal and push the E-
SELECT selector lever up or down to the rst
point of resistance.
Subsequently releasing the brake pedal will allow
you to move the vehicle freely, e.g. to push it or
tow it away.

Start the vehicle.

Depress the brake pedal and engage neutral

Release the brake pedal.

Switch o the vehicle.
% If you then exit the vehicle leaving the key in
the vehicle, the automatic transmission
remains in neutral i .

Observe the notes on parking the vehicle

Depress the brake pedal until the vehicle
comes to a standstill.

When the vehicle is stationary, press button
j .
Park position is only engaged when the trans-
mission position display j is shown in the
instrument display. If no transmission position
display j appears, secure the vehicle to pre-
vent it from rolling away.
Park position j is engaged automatically if one
of the following conditions is met:

When stationary, you switch the vehicle o in
transmission position h or k .
R
You open the driver's door when the vehicle is
stationary or when driving at a very low speed
and the transmission is in position h or k .

To manoeuvre with an open driver's door,
open the driver's door while stationary and
engage transmission position h or k again.

SELECT selector lever back past the rst point
of resistance.
