Engine Oil Level Check
Check engine oil level at regular inter­
vals after refueling with the engine at
operating temperature and shut off.
The operating temperature should
have been attained for some time.
The vehicle should be parked
on level ground and the oil
level must be somewhere
between the lower and the
upper mark on dipstick (1);
do not add in excess of the
upper mark.
Wipe dipstick before any oil level
measurement. To determine the oil
level, check both sides of the dipstick.
Always determine the oil level by
means of the straight horizontal m ark­
ing formed by the oil on one side of the
dipstick.
