7. Store the steam mop in a dry and cool
place when not in use. Do not expose the
steam mop to rain or direct sunlight.
8. Remove accessory/cloth before putting
away. If the steam mop is stored standing
up with a wet accessory/cloth this can leave
stains on the surface. Such stains can be
removed with vinegar.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Unplug and wait until the appliance has
completely cooled before cleaning.
• Always empty and clean the reservoir after
use.
• Wash the reservoir with water and a mild
detergent when necessary. Rinse well and
allow to dry.
Descaling the reservoir
If scale forms in the reservoir fill with water and
add 1–2 tablespoons of vinegar, screw on the
lid and shake. DO NOT START THE STEAM MOP.
Leave the solution to stand in the reservoir for a
few hours. Empty and rinse with clean water.
WARNING!
Do not immerse the steam mop in water or
any other liquid.
Descaling the steam system
If the flow of steam diminishes or stops it may
be necessary to descale the mop. The formation
of scale depends on the hardness of the water
and how often the mop is used. Scale can form
on the metal parts of the mop and can affect
functionality. Descale the mop every month or
after filling the reservoir 25–50 times. Especially
in areas with hard water.
Tap water can be used both to use the mop and
for descaling. Distilled water should be used for
best results in areas with hard water. Follow the
instructions below for descaling:
1. Mix 1/3 vinegar with 2/3 tap water and
pour into reservoir.
2. Point the steam outlet away from the floor
and other surfaces and objects.
3. Plug in the plug and start the mop, open
the steam control and wait until all of the
solution has vapourised.
4. Repeat until a normal steam flow has been
restored.
5. Rinse the reservoir with clean water.
6. Fill the reservoir with clean water and allow
it to vapourise.
7. After descaling try it first on a small,
concealed part of the surface to ensure
there are no impurities left in the steam
mop.
WARNING!
Do not leave the mop unattended during the
descaling, or when in use.
Cleaning of clogged accessories
If the flow of steam diminishes or stops it may
be necessary to descale the accessories. Follow
the instructions to descale accessories:
• Spray a small amount of liquid lubricant in
the steam nozzle outlet. Fill the reservoir as
per the instructions and let the water
vapourise to remove the deposits. After
descaling try it first on a small, concealed
part of the surface to ensure there are no
impurities left in the system.
NOTE:
Carry out descaling in a safe and well
ventilated area.
