Steam flow control
1. Adjust the required steam flow with the
control.
2. The flow of steam can be adjusted when
in use.
FIG. 6
How to use
1. Plug in the plug the when steam mop is
assembled and the reservoir is full. Put the
power switch in position
I
to start the steam
mop. A pulsating sound is heard when
steam is produced. This is quite normal.
2. Wait about 30 seconds and adjust the
required steam flow with the control. The
steam mop starts producing steam. To
switch off the steam mop first switch off the
flow of steam with the control, then put the
power switch in position
0
.
3. If the steam control is opened too soon
after starting the steam mop this will force
unheated water out through the steam
outlet and produce pools of water. This
can also happen if the steam control is not
closed when the appliance is switched off,
or if the plug is unplugged. Always close
the steam control, put the power switch in
position
0
and unplug the plug so that the
steam mop is properly switched off.
4. Move the steam mop slowly over the
surface to be cleaned. The absorbent cloth
picks up dirt released by the steam. Use
plenty of steam. Drops of water can follow
along with the steam, which can make a
noise and cause splashing. This is quite
normal. Keep a cloth handy to wipe up any
excess water.
5. When the flow of steam stops switch off the
steam mop and unplug the plug, fill the
reservoir and continue steam mopping.
WARNING!
• Never leave the steam mop unattended
when the plug is plugged in.
• Do not hold the steam mop still at the
same place for too long, this can damage
the surface.
• Keep your hands and feet away from the
steam outlet – risk of scalding.
• The steam pressure and temperature can
damage some materials. Try it first on a
small, concealed part of the surface.
For best results
1. Brush or vacuum clean the floor first before
mopping.
2. The microfibre cloth should be clean
and dry when starting the steam mop,
otherwise pools of water can be produced.
3. To sterilise an area use plenty of steam and
hold the mop still over the area for about
10 seconds, but no longer than 15 seconds.
NOTE:
Do not do this on surfaces that are sensitive to
heat and/or steam.
After use
1. Pull out the plug.
2. Allow the accessory/cloth to cool and
carefully remove from the mop head. Be
careful – risk of scalding.
3. Always empty the reservoir after use. Do
not put the steam mop away with water in
the reservoir.
4. Allow any condensation to run out through
the steam outlet before putting away.
5. Wind up the power cord round the top and
bottom holders.
6. Wipe the steam mop with a soft cloth.
