Before first use

1. Ensure that the power supply in your home

corresponds to that on the model plate on the

base of the applianc.

2. Connect the base unit to a power source. Unused

cable can be stored in the base of the appliance

.

3. All kettles have been tested during production to

ensure they work perfectly. Therefore there may

be remaining water deposits. Clean the appliance

before use by boiling the maximum amount of

water twice.

Usage of the electric kettle

1. The LEDs light up briefly to indicate that the

appliance is ready for use. The LED on the 100°

button then lights up continuously as the default

setting. If no buttons are pressed for 2 minutes, the

appliance switches to "stand by" mode and the LED

goes off. To turn the appliance on again, press one

of the temperature selection buttons

.

Note: The blue tank light is only switched on

during the heating process.

2. Open the lid by pressing the button

. Lid is not

 removable.

3. Fill in needed amount of water. The water amount

is readable on the water level scale on right and left

side of the handle

.

  • Do not fill the kettle beyond the maximum

  capacity (Capacit max. 1,7 l).

  • Do not put kettle into operation without water.

• Fill it at least to the “Min.” marking.

4. After filling close lid by pressing it downwards

.

5. Place kettle on the base.

6. The appliance has 3 preset temperature levels for

different uses:

  •

1

00°:boiling water

  • 95°: particularly suitable for making coffee manually

  ("pour over")

  • 80° e.g. to make green tea.

Tip: Select the temperature setting 80° or 95° for

uses that do not require boiling water. This saves

energy. Select the required temperature by briefly

pressing the relevant temperature button

.

Note: the blue tank light only comes on during the

heating process.

7. Start the heating process

  7.1 Without warm-keeping feature

After selecting the temperature

, press the on/off

button

to start the heating process. The water

tank LED will light up and the LED on the selected

temperature button will start flashing. When the

required temperature is reached, both the light in

the water tank and the LED on the temperature

button will turn off. This indicates that the heating

process is complete.

Note: After starting the heating process both

with and without the warm-keeping feature, the

temperature can be changed as required and the

warm-keeping feature can be switched on or off

whenever you like.

  7.2 Including warm-keeping feature

The appliance is equipped with a warm-keeping

feature which you can select at 95° or 80°. After

selecting the temperature

, press the warm-

keeping button

 instead of the on/off button.

The water tank LED and the the warm-keeping

button LED light up and the LED on the selected

temperature button starts flashing. When the

to the warm-keeping feature and keeps the water

at the selected temperature for 30 minutes. Both

the LED on the warm-keeping button and the LED

on the selected temperature button are illuminated

continuously during this time. After the warm-

keeping period has elapsed, all LEDs go off.

Attention: The warm-keeping feature cannot be

combined with the 100° temperature button. This

prevents the water from boiling dry (see point

"boil-dry protection").

8. The heating process or the warm-keeping feature

can be stopped manually at any time. To do this,

either press the on/off button

, the warm-

keeping button

or lift the appliance off the base
