Before first use
1. Ensure that the power supply in your home
corresponds to that on the model plate on the
base of the applianc.
2. Connect the base unit to a power source. Unused
cable can be stored in the base of the appliance
.
3. All kettles have been tested during production to
ensure they work perfectly. Therefore there may
be remaining water deposits. Clean the appliance
before use by boiling the maximum amount of
water twice.
Usage of the electric kettle
1. The LEDs light up briefly to indicate that the
appliance is ready for use. The LED on the 100°
button then lights up continuously as the default
setting. If no buttons are pressed for 2 minutes, the
appliance switches to "stand by" mode and the LED
goes off. To turn the appliance on again, press one
of the temperature selection buttons
.
Note: The blue tank light is only switched on
during the heating process.
2. Open the lid by pressing the button
. Lid is not
removable.
3. Fill in needed amount of water. The water amount
is readable on the water level scale on right and left
side of the handle
.
• Do not fill the kettle beyond the maximum
capacity (Capacit max. 1,7 l).
• Do not put kettle into operation without water.
• Fill it at least to the “Min.” marking.
4. After filling close lid by pressing it downwards
.
5. Place kettle on the base.
6. The appliance has 3 preset temperature levels for
different uses:
•

00°:boiling water
• 95°: particularly suitable for making coffee manually
("pour over")
• 80° e.g. to make green tea.
Tip: Select the temperature setting 80° or 95° for
uses that do not require boiling water. This saves
energy. Select the required temperature by briefly
pressing the relevant temperature button
.
Note: the blue tank light only comes on during the
heating process.
7. Start the heating process
7.1 Without warm-keeping feature
After selecting the temperature
, press the on/off
button
to start the heating process. The water
tank LED will light up and the LED on the selected
temperature button will start flashing. When the
required temperature is reached, both the light in
the water tank and the LED on the temperature
button will turn off. This indicates that the heating
process is complete.
Note: After starting the heating process both
with and without the warm-keeping feature, the
temperature can be changed as required and the
warm-keeping feature can be switched on or off
whenever you like.
7.2 Including warm-keeping feature
The appliance is equipped with a warm-keeping
feature which you can select at 95° or 80°. After
selecting the temperature
, press the warm-
keeping button
instead of the on/off button.
The water tank LED and the the warm-keeping
button LED light up and the LED on the selected
temperature button starts flashing. When the
heating process is complete, the appliance switches
to the warm-keeping feature and keeps the water
at the selected temperature for 30 minutes. Both
the LED on the warm-keeping button and the LED
on the selected temperature button are illuminated
continuously during this time. After the warm-
keeping period has elapsed, all LEDs go off.
Attention: The warm-keeping feature cannot be
combined with the 100° temperature button. This
prevents the water from boiling dry (see point
"boil-dry protection").
8. The heating process or the warm-keeping feature
can be stopped manually at any time. To do this,
either press the on/off button
, the warm-
keeping button
or lift the appliance off the base
unit. The appliance will not switch on again when
you return it to the base unit.

The heater is equipped with an overheating protector.
