6. If you selected natural sound (f), press the
Forward arrow/Back arrow buttons to select
birdsong, waves, trickling water or croaking
frogs. Press the "Set" button to confirm
selection.
o Volume is set from 0 to 20 (maximum
volume).
7. If you select the FM Radio (g), press the
Forward arrow/Back arrow buttons to select
the desired radio station.
o If there is an RDS signal the RDS
symbol will be displayed and the clock
will automatically synchronise with the
selected radio station.
8. The volume symbol (c) flashes, no matter if
you select natural sound or FM-radio. Press
the arrow keys on the left side (9) repeatedly
to adjust the alarm volume and press the
"Set" button to confirm volume.
9. The brightness symbol (d) flashes.
10. Press the arrow keys on the right side to
adjust the brightness and press the "Set"
button to confirm brightness and complete
the setting.
11. The alarm time is now set and the appliance
can be used as an alarm clock.
Activating and deactivating the alarm
Press the "Alarm" (8) button repeatedly to
choose the required alarm setting.
o Choose between alarm 1, alarm 2,
deactivated and alarm 1 + alarm 2.
o 30 minutes before the alarm sounds,
the lamp simulates a natural
awakening to a rising sun by slowly
increasing the light intensity.
Snooze function and stopping the alarm
1. Press the "Snooze/Quick Check" (1) button
at the top of the screen (2) to temporarily
switch off the sounding alarm. The alarm will
automatically sound again after approx. 5
minutes.
o The alarm symbol flashes on the screen
when the snooze function has been
activated.
2. Press the "Off" (7) button to turn the alarm
off.
Short time alarm
1. Press the "Zizz" (6) button: The short time
symbol (i) on the display will be shown.
2. Press the "Zizz" button repeatedly to set the
short time alarm to 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 90
minutes respectively.
o The alarm sounds when the selected time
interval has elapsed.
o Change the wake-up sound by following
the steps in the "Setting the alarm clock"
above.
3. Press the "Off" button to switch off the
alarm.
Demonstrating the alarm function
When the alarm clock is set, press the "Snooze/
Quick Check" button on top of the screen:
The appliance will demonstrate the different
functions.
Dimming the display
Press the "Dimmer" (11) button to dim the
display.
o Press the button once to dim the display
and twice to switch off the display.
o Press the button a third time to return the
display to normal.
Playing natural sound or FM radio
The appliance can play natural sound or FM
radio, without the lamp or alarm clock function
having to be selected.
1. Press the "Sound" (12) button.
2. Press the Forward arrow/Back arrow button
to select a natural sound or press "Sound"
button one more time to select the FM radio.
o Press the Forward arrow/Back arrow
button to select the required radio
channel.
3. Use the arrow buttons on the left side to
adjust the volume.
4. Press the "Sound" button again to switch off
the natural sound or the FM radio.
CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB
Change a light bulb when it has blown. Switch
off the appliance and let it cool for at least 15
minutes before you remove the blown light bulb
from the appliance.
• IMPORTANT! Used light bulbs must be
disposed of according to the relevant
disposal regulations for environmentally-
hazardous materials, e.g. by taking them to
your local waste/recycling centre.
• IMPORTANT! Always make sure to switch off
the appliance and remove the plug from the
mains socket before taking it apart to avoid
the risk of electric shocks.
NOTE: The light bulb can be max. 60 W.
How to dismantle the appliance
• Press the screen release (15) button behind
the appliance.
• Hold the button in and carefully loosen and
lift the screen with your free hand.
How to reassemble the appliance
• Fit the screen back on the appliance by
adjusting the catches into the depressions.
Make sure the screen is fitted the right way
round.
• Press the screen until it clicks into place.
