To get the best out of your new appliance,
please read this user guide carefully before
using it for the first time. Take particular note of
the safety precautions. We also recommend that
you keep the instructions for future reference, so
that you can remind yourself of the functions of
your appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
General
• Incorrect use of this appliance may
cause personal injury and damage to the
appliance.
• Use for its intended purpose only. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any
injury or damage resulting from incorrect use
or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
• For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or
commercial use.
• For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
• Never submerge the appliance, cord or plug
in water, and no water must be allowed to
enter the motor section.
• Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with
wet or damp hands.
• Do not expose to direct sunlight, high
temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive
substances.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when
it is switched on.
• Keep the appliance under constant
supervision while in use. Keep an eye on
children in the vicinity of the appliance when
it is being used. The appliance is not a toy.
• The appliance contains sharp parts - keep
out of the reach of children.
• The appliance is not to be used by persons
with reduced sensitivity, physical or mental
disabilities or persons who are unable to
use the appliance, unless supervised or
instructed by a person responsible for their
safety.
• Use only accessories supplied with the
appliance or those recommended by the
manufacturer.
Use
• Always place the appliance on a dry, level
and firm surface well away from any edges.
• The appliance should only be switched on
when the blender glass with lid has been
attached and contains liquid and/or food.
• Never pour boiling liquid or very hot food
into the blender glass. Make sure that the
food has a sufficiently low temperature
to avoid burning/scalding in case of skin
contact.
• Never add liquid or food above the “1,000
ml” mark on the blender glass.
• Do not use the appliance if the blender glass
is cracked or damaged in any way.
• Do not leave the appliance running non stop
for more than 2 minutes at a time. If the
appliance has been running for 2 minutes,
allow it to cool down for 2 minutes before
you use it again.
• Never put tools or your hands into the
blender glass while the appliance is
switched on. Please note that the blade may
still rotate for a while after you switch off the
appliance.
• Note: A blender knife rotates extremely fast
and therefore needs to be cooled down.
The indicated max time for non-stop use of
the blender only applies to the blending of
liquid, as the liquid cools down the blade.
Therefore do not use the blender to grind dry
ingredients, as this can result in damage to
the blade!
• Be careful not to touch the sharp edges of
the blades during use and cleaning!
• NOTE! The appliance is equipped with a
safety switch, to avoid accidental starts.
The safety switch will allow the appliance
to operate if the appliance is correctly
assembled and the parts are securely
fixed as described in the instructions. If
otherwise, the appliance will not operate! If
the appliance does not start, we recommend
you check the appliance assembly
thoroughly. The customer should use the
blender again only after the motor totally
cools down.
Cord and plug
• Do not let the cord hang out over the edge
of the work surface.
• Check that it is not possible to pull or trip
over the cord or any extension cord.
• Keep the cord and appliance away from
heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.
• Remove the plug from the socket when
cleaning, and when not in use. Avoid pulling
the cord when removing the plug from the
socket. Instead, hold the plug.
• Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
• The cord must not be twisted or wound
around the appliance.
• Check regularly that neither the cord nor
plug is damaged and do not use if there is
any damage, or if it has been dropped on
the floor, dropped in water or damaged in
any other way.
