clean tap water or distilled water using the
filler cup (14).
•
Fully unroll the cord and plug in the appli-
ance.
•
Switch on the appliance using the on/off
button (2). The indicator light comes on
and the appliance begins to heat up the
water.
•
Once the water is hot, steam will be emit-
ted from the nozzle.
•
Allow the nozzle to glide slowly and gently
back and forwards over the floor or other
surface to be steam-cleaned.
•
Once you have finished using the appli-
ance, unplug it, loop the cord around the
two winders (7, 10) without over-tightening
it. Empty the water reservoir. Remove the
microfibre cloth and wash it as described
under ‘Cleaning’.
CLEANING
•
Always switch off the appliance at the
socket, unplug it and allow it to cool before
cleaning it.
•
Clean using a damp cloth and, if neces-
sary, a little detergent. Never use abrasive
detergents or solvents.
•
Remove any hair and dirt from the microfi-
bre cloth and nozzle.
•
Wash the microfibre cloth in the washing
machine at 60 °C with no bleach or deter-
gent, and allow it to air-dry. It must not be
tumble-dried.
DESCALING
If the water in your area is very hard, the appli-
ance will need descaling regularly.
•
Make a solution of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts
water and pour it into the water reservoir.
•
Place the appliance in a basin and make
sure that it cannot tip over.
•
Turn the appliance on and leave it running
until the water reservoir is empty.
•
Fill the reservoir with clean tap water and
repeat the procedure to rinse the appli-
ance through.
Note! Do not leave the appliance unsupervised
while you are descaling it!

Plug wiring:
This product is fi tted with a BS 1363 13-amp
plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those
that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362
and with a rated current of 13 amps should be
used. If there is a fuse cover fi tted, this cover
must be refitted after changing the fuse.
If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug
must not be used. You must also check if the
socket outlets in your home fi t with the plug of
the appliance. If the socket outlet in your home
does not fi t with the plug, the plug must be
removed and disposed of safely as insertion
of the plug into the socket is likely to cause
electric hazard. A replacement plug should be
wired according to following description.
Important
This appliance must be earthed. The wires in
the cord set are coloured thus:
BLUE- Neutral, Brown-Live, Green& Yellow-
earth (For detachable plug only)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire that is coloured Green& Yellow must
be connected to the terminal in the plug that
is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol,or coloured green & yellow.
The wire that is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal that is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire that is couloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal that is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
