• Take the worn-out bench seg-
ment (26) out.
• To install the new bench segment
(26), carry out the above proce-
dure in reverse order.
7.3 Dismantling / installing split
ting wedge (Fig. 5, 6)
Danger! Unplug from the
power source
• Dismantle the saw blade protec-
tion (5) (see 7.1).
• Dismantle the fastening screws
(28) and remove the splitting
wedge (29).
• Install in the reverse order.
• The distance between the saw
blade (25) and splitting wedge
(29) should be 3-8 mm.
• Make sure that the splitting
wedge (29) is straight and not
mounted unstably.
• The splitting wedge (29) must be
in the centre, along a set extend-
ed line behind the saw blade (25),
to prevent the workpiece from
being jammed.
7.4 Installing/changing the saw
blade (Fig. 4)
Danger! Unplug from the
power source!
• Wear gloves when changing the
saw blade, to avoid injuries!
• Make the saw blade (25) accessi-
ble by dismantling the saw blade
cover (19). Loosen both Philips
screws (23) and remove the saw
blade cover.
• Loosen the screw (24), by setting
the ring spanner at 19/8 mm (32)
on the screw (24) and setting the
ring spanner at 10/8 mm (33) on the
motor shaft as a counter holder.
Caution! Rotate nut in the
rotation direction of the saw
blade.
• Remove outer flange and pull the
old saw blade diagonally down-
wards from the inner flange.
• Carefully clean saw blade flange
before installing the new saw
blade.
• Reinsert and tighten the new saw
blade in reverse order.
Caution! Observe the running
direction, the slanted cuts
teeth must point in the running
direction, i.e. to the front (see arrow
on the saw blade protection).
• Before working with the saw
again, check that the safety
equipment is working properly.
Warning! After each change
of saw blade, check whether
the saw blade protection (5)
opens and closes again in accord
ance with the requirements. Also,
check whether the saw blade (25)
runs freely in the saw blade pro
tection (5).
Warning! After each change
of saw blade, check whether
the saw blade (25) runs freely in
the bench segment (26) in a hori
zontal position or tilted to 45°.
