Switching off (fig. 7)
Release the On switch (1) and hold the
machine until the motor has stopped
running.
Test run
CAUTION! Always carry out a test
run before starting work and after
every tool change!
Always ensure that the tools are in good
condition, correctly mounted and able to
turn freely. The trial run should last
approx. 30 sec.
9 – Mode of operation
• Always place the workpiece on a firm
surface before starting.
• Observe rotation direction and
function
• The distance between the user and
the machine should be as great as
possible.
• Avoid jolting the workpiece.
CAUTION! Never machine
material containing asbestos.
Cutting
Mount the protective hood for cutting
discs (3) in accordance with Chapter 7,
and set as required.
Apply slight pressure to the cutting disk
from above, but NOT from the side.
Adjust forward pressure to material and
rotation speed. The machine must work
in reverse rotation (fig. 8).
CAUTION! Do not cut wet
material.
Roughing
Mount the protective hood for roughing
discs (15) in accordance with Chapter 7,
and set as required.
Hold the machine at an angle of 30° to
40° to the workpiece. Move the machine
back and forward with moderate
pressure.
10 – Maintenance and
environmental
protection
CAUTION! Before any
maintenance working on the
appliance, unplug it from the mains.
Remove dust regularly from machine
and ventilation slits. Clean the case only
with a damp cloth – Do not use
solvents. Then dry well.
CAUTION! Conductive metallic
dust may impair the function of
the machine.
When working frequently with metals,
blow the ventilation slots out regularly
with compressed air and if necessary
install a safety cut-out switch (FI).
Replacing the carbon brushes
The control LED (13) informs you about
the state of the carbon brushes.
Green light: The carbon brushes are
intact. Control light turns to red: The
carbon brushes are worn and need to
be replaced.
