Connections
The 900vs2 is connected to the Meech power supply by plugging the male jack plug of
the 900vs2 into the socket found on the side wall of the 904/5 power unit.
The 900vs2 contains a rechargeable battery which is continuously charged when
plugged into the 904/5 power unit ( it may be necessary to allow the battery to charge
on initial connection to the 904/5 power supply).
When supplied, the battery contact of the 900vs2 is protect with a plastic strip. This
needs to be removed prior to installation. Simply pull on the clear plastic strip, found
protruding from the side of the 900vs2, to enable the unit.
Operation
Under normal operation (no system faults) the green LED of the 900vs 2 will be
continuously illuminated. If a fault occurs, due to damage and/or the ioniser becoming
excessively dirty, the red LED of the 900vs2 will flash and the green LED will be
extinguished.
If the 904/5 is powered off, the 900vs2 will indicate a fault and will be operating from
its internal battery. e battery will provide 60 hours of running in this condition.
The 900vs2 also features internal connections so that the 900vs2 LED indication can
be mirrored / relayed to a remote buzzer or light (not supplied).
These connections are accessible by removing the base plate and feeding a signal
cable through the grommet found in the end wall of the case.
The base plate must be replaced before the unit is reconnected or switched on.
