Special safety instructions
WARNING: Read all the instructions carefully before use. Failure to follow all the instructions below can
result in the risk of electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.

This tool must only be connected to a properly earthed power socket to prevent the risk of electric
shock.

Make sure the power cord and plug are in good condition and undamaged.

Do not use unnecessarily long extension cords. Only use an earthed extension cord.

Grindstones/grinding wheels are brittle and sensitive to knocks and blows. Press the tool to be
sharpened against the edge of the grindstone, not against the sides. Never use cracked or
otherwise damaged grindstones. Damaged grindstones can shatter and cause personal injury.

Wear safety glasses.

Never use the tool unless all the guards are in place.

Always check before use that the guards and tool rest are correctly fitted.

The maximum permitted gap between the tool rest and grindstone is 1
–1.5 mm.

The tool must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with these instructions. Only
use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

Never attempt to enlarge the centre hole in the grindstone.

Only use accessories that can withstand the maximum speed of the tool.

Never use grindstones that are cracked, deformed, or otherwise damaged.

Check that the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in the power cord.

Keep the power cord away from the work area.

Secure the tool firmly to a workbench before use. Adjust the length of the retaining screws to the
thickness of the workbench. On workbenches made of steel it is advisable to put a piece of wood
between the tool and the bench to dampen vibrations.

Switch off the tool immediately and unplug the power cord in any of the following situations:
-
If the power cord or plug are damaged.
- If the power switch is not working properly.
- In the event of any abnormal noise or smell, smoke or other sign of a problem.


section area of 1.5 mm².
