Installation
OBS!
The pump must not be connected to the
mains during installation.
• Do not put your hands into the pump inlet
when the pump is connected to the
mains. Risk of injury.
• Use the handle supplied if the pump
needs to be transported or lifted.
• Put the pump in a container of sufficient
size, and minimise the number of times
the pump is started per hour.
• Pumps used in, or in the vicinity of,
swimming pools, ponds, small lakes, etc.
should be equipped with a switch. Contact
a qualified electrician.
USE
Starting for the first time
• Check that the voltage and frequency
stated on the pump’s rating plate
correspond to the specifications of the
electricity supply.
• The installer must ensure that the
electrical system is earthed in accordance
with applicable legislation.
• Check that the electrical system has a
residual current device with a tripping
current of 30 mA.
Instructions for starting the pump
safely
• The power cable should have a minimum
cross-section area corresponding to H05
RN-F or H07 RN-F. If the pump is to be
used outdoors, a 10 metre cable must be
used. The plug and connections should be
splashproof.
• The pump (especially the power cable and
plug) must always be inspected visually
before it is used. Do not use the pump if it
is damaged.
• Check that the electrical connections are
protected against flooding.
• Protect the power cable and plug from
heat, oil and sharp edges.
• The power cable must only be replaced by
a qualified electrician.
Overload protection button
• The pump has a built-in thermal
protection relay. The pump switches off if
overloaded. The motor restarts
automatically once it has cooled.
• Start the pump by inserting the plug into
a 230 V AC socket. The pump should not
be used in swimming pools or where
there is a possibility of persons coming
into contact with the water.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Check that the pump has been disconnected
from the power supply before maintenance
or repairs are carried out.
• Under normal circumstances the pump
does not require maintenance. It may,
however, be necessary to clean the
hydraulics or replace the pump impeller.
• The pump is not intended for use with
table fountains or aquariums. In such
cases, a H07 RN-F cable must be used. If
the pump is used continuously in fish
ponds, it must be inspected every
6 months (if the water contains aggres-
