OPERATION
Range of applications
• The pump may be submerged wholly or
partially under the surface of the liquid,
and can be used for pumping clean or
slightly contaminated liquids.
• Ensure that the pump is never operated
when dry.
NOTE:
The pump must not be used for pumping salt
water or flammable, corrosive, explosive
or dangerous liquids.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Follow the safety instructions to avoid
personal injury or material damage.
• The pump must not be used to pump
saltwater or flammable, corrosive,
explosive or dangerous liquids.
• Make sure the pump is never run dry.
• Keep your hands away from the pump
inlet when it is plugged into the mains.

• Check that the power supply to the pump
is disconnected before it is installed.
• Use the handle to move or lift the pump.
• If the pump is to be used in a permanent
installation with rigid piping it is necessary
to install a check valve to avoid the
recirculation of water when the pump
stops. An easily accessible ball coupling
should be installed to simplify cleaning
and maintenance.
• If the pump is to be used in temporary
installations a flexible tube should be
installed and connected to the pump.
• Use a rope and fasten it to the handle
when lowering down the pump.
• Minimise the number of starts per hour.
• Pumps used near pools, ponds, small
lakes etc. should be fitted with a switch.
Consult an authorised electrician.
• The power cord on the pump must only be
replaced by an authorised service centre.
• The pump must not be used in pools or
other places where people come in
contact with the water.
• Check that the pump has been
disconnected from the power supply
before any maintenance.
• The pump is not intended to be used for
table fountains and aquariums.
• If the pump is used in continuous mode
in fish ponds it must be checked every
6 months (if the water contains
aggressive substances).
